Steve Beerman, a clinical professor with UBC’s department of family practice in the faculty of medicine, co-wrote an op-ed for the Globe and Mail about drowning risks for lower income people.
“For anyone who has lost someone to the water, it is incomprehensible that the magnitude of that danger is not more widely understood,” wrote Beerman and Kevin Patterson.
