The Edmonton Journal quoted Ruth Elwood Martin, a UBC clinical professor and former prison physician, for a story about inmates who say they suffered after being switched off medications by jail doctors.
She said the decision whether to continue an inmate on medications prescribed by their community doctor is “not straightforward.”
