The Province reported on the issues with White Rock’s municipal water system and the UBC study that will examine possible solutions for improvement.
White Rock’s council will spend $100,000 on a study by a research team from UBC’s RES’EAU-WaterNET to determine the best process for removing arsenic and manganese, both naturally occurring in the country’s water system.
Madjid Mohseni, a UBC chemical and bioengineering professor and director of RES’EAU-WaterNET, said the group will examine several different technologies that would be suitable for White Rock.
