Incoming UBC president Santa Ono talked about his hopes for the university on Global Morning News.
“One of the roles of the president of an institution…is to be a role model but also to listen to what the hopes and dreams of students are, and when you listen to them you can take steps to make the experience even better,” Ono said. He felt the university is ready to resolve and move on after dealing with a number of difficult issues in the past several months.
Ono was also interviewed on Roundhouse Radio’s Our City.
