Business in Vancouver reported on Sport Hosting Vancouver, a partnership including UBC that aims to bring more world-class sporting events to Vancouver.
Tourism Vancouver partnered with UBC, the City of Vancouver, the Vancouver Hotel Destination Association, and Crown-owned BC Pavilion Corporation with a mandate to secure major sporting events.
The goal is to use venues including UBC’s Thunderbird Arena and the soccer and rugby pitches for international tournaments.
