DNA science advances can open Pandora’s box

CBC quoted Judith Daniluk, a UBC counselling psychology professor, for a story on the increasing number of people using DNA databases worldwide to look for relatives.

“It’s just fascinating. Many of these things — even five, six years ago — couldn’t have been done before, but it’s a case of be careful what you wish for,” said Daniluk, who helped develop Canadian legislation on the topic.
