Metro Vancouver’s first virtual reality lounge opens its doors

CBC highlighted Metro Vancouver’s first virtual reality arcade created by two recent UBC grads, Charlie Shi and Alexander Chua.

David Hardisty, a professor at UBC Sauder School of Business and a consumer behaviour expert, said the popularity of virtual reality gaming is on the rise.

“It’s still small, but it’s getting bigger,” he said. “You have major players now competing. Sony, they have it. Facebook is in on the game with the Oculus and then you have the HTC Vive.”
