Men’s depression project focuses on real stories, solutions

The Vancouver Sun featured a project based out of UBC’s School of Nursing that focusing on men’s mental health.

Throughout October the website for HeadsUpGuys is posting 20 personal accounts of men who have had depression and found ways to cope.

Project coordinator Joshua Beharry said HeadsUpGuys has readers from around the world since few sources of information on depression are aimed specifically at men.

“It’s more of an action-based approach,” he said. “We try to give more practical, concrete advice.”
