Intervention by Anthony Traboulsee, a UBC neurologist and the MS Society of Canada Research Chair at UBC, was crucial for a young man who required multiple sclerosis treatment, Surrey Leader reported.
Traboulsee appealed to insurer Manulife on behalf of 19-year-old Kory Loos.
Traboulsee recommended a new treatment called Lemtrada as he believes it will repair the myelin in Kory’s spinal cord and brain, and have positive effects beyond the treatment cycle.
