At-risk animals may be harmed by Massey Tunnel replacement

The Tyee reported on a joint submission from student associations at UBC and Simon Fraser University that opposed giving the Massey Tunnel replacement an environmental certificate.

The Planning Students Association of UBC’s School of Community and Regional Planning and the Resource and Environmental Planning Students Association of Simon Fraser University opposed the certificate.

“The environmental assessment process to date is rife with both substantive and procedural inadequacies that together necessitate a reassessment of the proposed project and a full review of the analysis,” Lara Therrien Boulos at UBC and Chloe Boyle at SFU wrote on behalf of the student groups.
