What happens when drugs are too powerful for overdose kits?

Vice quoted Adam Lund, a doctor in UBC’s department of emergency medicine, for a story on the complications associated with preventing overdoses of certain powerful drugs.

Lund said he aims to close the gap between public health doctors and emergency doctors and advocates for more CPR training for those most likely to witness an overdose.

“There’s a gap between giving naloxone and naloxone working,” he says. “Chest compressions fill that gap.”

The story also appeared in Vice U.K and Australia.
