A 10-foot-tall yellow cedar sculpture, called Thunder Child, was installed at a pole raising ceremony at UBC’s Indigenous farm, CBC reported.
Around 70 different medicinal plants as well as food grow at the farm. The farm also received a new Musqueam name, xwc’ic’usum, meaning ‘place of growing.’
