Cannabis gave an Ontario boy ‘new lease on life’

The Huffington Post interviewed UBC botany professor and marijuana chemistry expert Jonathan Page for a story on how non-psychoactive cannabis helped a young boy who suffers from cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder.

Page said cultivating this type of CBD-rich/low-THC strains of marijuana is a step towards acceptance of cannabis as a legitimate form of medicine.

Page said CBD-rich oil is gaining acceptance among parents and doctors as an appropriate treatment for paediatric seizure disorders, such as epilepsy.
