$2.5 million for UBCO research

Castanet reported on 12 UBCO researchers who will benefit from millions of dollars in federal research grants.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada granted the funds to biologists, engineers, statisticians, chemists and a number of grad students totalling $2.5 million.

On top of those grants, Kyle Larson, a UBCO earth and environmental sciences and physical geography professor was awarded a three-year Discovery Accelerator grant to help with his structural geological research on plate tectonics.
