Yahoo Canada Finance quoted UBC political scientist Kurt Huber on the topic of how Britain leaving the E.U. could impact Canada.
Major job losses at Canadian companies in the U.K. could most likely happen in the financial and high-tech sectors.
“We have to look carefully what those Canadian companies are doing in the UK. Are they producing (goods) or are they in the financial sector?” he said.“Some of them may have very low transfer costs for them moving from London to somewhere else.”
