UBCO research examines left and right brain performance

An article on Kelowna Now highlighted UBC research that delves into how the human brains completes tasks.

UBCO psychology professor Barbara Rutherford said the findings seem to be counterintuitive.

“Our study reveals that when the task is simple, performance is best if the half of the brain that is better at the task completes it alone. When the other half of the brain contributes to the task, performance gets worse,” said Rutherford.
