Public art and panel discussion for Men’s Mental Health Week

The Georgia Straight reported on a public art exhibit and panel discussion at the Vancouver Art Gallery for Men’s Mental Health Week and quoted UBC nursing professor John Oliffe.

Oliffe said anger, irritability, and alcohol abuse often conceal deeper mental health issues among men, making diagnoses difficult.

On June 13 and 14, the art piece Refract shows five mannequins painted with a different quote representing masculine archetypes.
