Discussing the Stanford sexual assault

UBC education professor Michelle Stack discussed the recent Stanford sexual assault case on Roundhouse Radio.

Stack said it is important to recognize how the problem of women’s rights can be found in the “little things” that happen in our society.

“Every time a decision is made to cut funding to a women’s shelter, that’s putting women at risk. Every time there is a decision to say to a girl you have to hug your aunt or uncle when they don’t want to, that’s putting them at risk, every time we say ‘boys will be boys’… those are things we need to look at,” Stack said.
