Arctic cruises are bad for the environment, argues UBC’s Michael Byers, who is cited in a Huffington Post op-ed on the new tourist activity.
“Arctic cruises involve greater hazards and environmental impact than just about any other kind of tourism,” wrote Byers, Canada Research Chair in Global Politics and International Law.
