A new study will look at whether Asian men with mental illness avoid treatment because of the stigma, reports 24 Hours.
Researchers are looking to develop tailored messaging and treatment strategies for this group and are recruiting for 100 Asian men who have been diagnosed with depression, said Dr. Hiram Mok, medical manager at Vancouver General Hospital and a clinical professor at UBC’s department of psychiatry.
