Passing drug tests, a condition for employment in certain industries, was the focus of a new article in Motherboard. The article mentioned a handheld device developed by UBC Okanagan engineering professor Mina Hoorfar that tests for marijuana use. Other testing methods have a problem with false positives, but Hoorfar said “there won’t be any false positives” with the new device.
