New UBC research argues for-profit nursing homes provide “inferior” care to seniors, CBC News reported.
“There is this conflict of interest between the profit motive and actually spending money on things like staffing,” said study author Dr. Margaret McGregor, physician and researcher in UBC’s faculty of medicine.
