Six coffees a day ‘can cut risk of MS’

A study by U.S. and Swedish researchers suggests that drinking six cups of coffee a day may cut the risk of developing multiple sclerosis, the most common disabling neurological condition, reports the Daily Mail.

In an editorial accompanying the study, UBC researchers Elaine Kingwell and Jose Maria Andreas Wijnands noted that “although it remains to be shown whether drinking coffee can prevent the development of MS, the results of these thorough analyses add to the growing evidence for the beneficial health effects of coffee.”
