The Faculty of Applied Science presents guest lecturer and UBC alumnus, Gane Ka-Shu Wong (BASc’83). Wong will speak about DNA/RNA sequencing and its applications for medicine, science and applied science. Wong has worked with the Human Genome Project, helped found BGI-Shenzhen (formerly Beijing Genomics Institute), and currently works at the University of Alberta as an AITF/iCORE Strategic Chair.
