Daphne Koller, one of the founders of Coursera, will come to UBC to join professors and senior administrators in a panel to share the University’s experience with its pilot Coursera courses and discuss the broader impact of MOOCs on teaching and learning.
Last fall, UBC announced an agreement with US-based company Coursera to offer free, online, non-credit courses to a worldwide audience. Founded in 2011 by Koller and fellow Stanford University professor Andrew Ng, Coursera aims to transform teaching and learning through MOOCs.
