The Economist featured a study by two UBC professors in an article on the upcoming carbon tax vote in Washington state.
Werner Antweiler of the Sauder School of Business and environmental and resource economist Sumeet Gulati found that B.C.’s carbon tax has encouraged people to buy more fuel-efficient cars, contributing to a seven per cent gas use reduction per person.
