The Washington Post quoted William Unruh, a UBC physicist, after new Israeli research saw entangled photons or particles of light being emitted by an acoustic black hole.
The Israeli research contributes to efforts to prove that black holes evaporate over time.
“I regard this as a very beautiful experiment, one that people have thought of doing for 10 years now, but [this] is the first to do so,” Unruh said.
