Kelowna Now reported on a UBC study looking into the experiences of parents whose adult children have left the religious tradition they were raised in.
PhD candidate Glendon Wiebe is working with UBCO nursing professor Barb Pesut and said past research has not explored the perspective of parents in this topic.
“I recognize that it’s a sensitive topic for some, but I’d like to talk to individual parents to see how they have navigated and responded to their child’s departure from the family’s religious tradition,” said Wiebe.
