Battle over GMO labelling on Canadian horizon

The Winnipeg Free Press referenced a paper by Loren Rieseberg, a UBC botany professor and research chair in plant evolutionary genomics.

In the paper commenting on a newly released U.S. expert panel report on genetic engineering, Rieseberg noted public skepticism is holding back growth in a helpful area of science.

He wrote that this is partly due to stringent regulatory processes put in place to ease public concerns.
