Genetics can predict which trees can better resist climate change

The Canadian Press reported on a new UBC study which found that genetics help predict when foliage appears in spring, information that can help predict which trees will be best suited to climatic changes. The research was done by Elizabeth Wolkovich, a forest and conservation sciences professor at UBC, and Simon Joly, a biology professor at Université de Montréal.
