The Vancouver Sun reported on work by UBC to solve the problem of birds flying into windows.
Penny Martyn, manager of green buildings on the UBC campus, has introduced bird-friendly design rules that will be mandatory for all university buildings by 2020 and new residential buildings on campus by 2025.
