The Province interviewed Nathanael Lauster, a UBC professor of sociology, about a report from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Statistics Canada that compared non-resident ownership in urban centres.
He said the data confirms that foreign ownership is not really driving the climbing housing prices.
