UBC prof co-winner of Breakthrough Prize in physics

Gary Hinshaw, a UBC cosmologist, has been named a co-winner of this year’s $3-million Breakthrough Prize in physics.

In 2001, Hinshaw’s NASA team worked to create what he describes as the universe’s baby picture.
