Women need health and dental care to stay out of prison

UBC researchers Patrick Jansen, Mo Korchinski, and Ruth Elwood Martin co-wrote an op-ed for The Conversation about the role of health care in preventing females in prison from re-offending.

A new study from researchers at UBC’s Collaborating Centre for Prison Health and Education revealed that basic health care for women in prison and upon release is “essential to ensure successful reintegration into society.”
