Global reported on a letter to the province written by professors at UBC, the University of Northern British Columbia and fire ecologists.
Lori Daniels, a UBC professor of forest and conservation sciences and one of the letter’s authors, said “moving forward, the types of warm, dry, windy conditions that we saw this summer are projected to become more and more common because of climate change.”
