UBC course on impact of colonialism on First Nations

Lawyers Daily reported on a new one-year program at UBC that aims to help students understand the impact of Canada’s colonial legal system on First Nations.

“[Participants will] understand what systemic ongoing discrimination based on colonialism really means for people and what as legal professionals do we really need to know,” said Patricia Barkaskas, an instructor in the Peter A. Allard School of Law and a Métis person from Alberta.
