Picking the brain of Santiago Ramon y Cajal

The Globe and Mail highlighted a UBC exhibition of the work of Santiago Ramon y Cajal, a neuroscientist who became famous for his hand-drawn illustrations of the brain.

The exhibition opens at UBC’s Belkin art gallery on Sept. 5 – the first time the drawings will be exhibited in Canada. Brian MacVicar, co-director at Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health and Canada Research Chair in Neuroscience at UBC, worked with Belkin director/curator Scott Watson to bring the drawings to Canada.
