Adam Ford, the Canadian Research Chair in Wildlife Restoration Ecology and a biology professor at UBC’s Okanagan campus, spoke to Pique Magazine about the increase in human-black bear interactions in B.C.
He said “there are ecological factors in the landscape that contribute to variation in conflict, but you take the people out of the landscape and you’ve got no conflict.”
