Derryck Smith, a UBC clinical professor emeritus, wrote a letter in The Province in response to an op-ed by Diane McIntosh, a psychiatrist and clinical professor in UBC’s department of psychiatry.
Smith wrote that “rather than just paying for doctors and hospitals, we need to fund medications, psychologists and other health-care providers. Timely access to medications would improve the health of British Columbians.”
