Jan Klimas, a UBC postdoctoral fellow, wrote an op-ed for The Conversation about the opioid crisis.
He wrote that “better programs should include training in detoxification protocols, inpatient consultation, residential treatment, youth addiction, mental health problems and chronic pain management as well as long-term treatment based in the community.”
