Indo-Canadian Voice reported on a study about the impact of trees on city weather.
Lead study author Marco Giometto, who wrote the paper as a UBC postdoctoral fellow in civil engineering, found that removing all the trees around buildings increased the building’s energy consumption by as much as 10 per cent in winter and 15 per cent in summer.
