The Globe and Mail published an op-ed about junk food ads co-written by Tom Warshawski, a clinical professor of pediatrics at UBC and chair of the Childhood Obesity Foundation.

Warshawski and Mary Lewis, vice-president of research, advocacy and health promotion at the Heart and Stroke Foundation, wrote that it is clear that exposing teens to unhealthy food and beverage marketing puts them at risk.
