Alys Granados, a PhD candidate in zoology at UBC, wrote an op-ed for the Georgia Straight about the need to protect rainforests of all types.
Granados wrote that increasing the area of protected forest and eliminating destructive logging practices are vital to ensure ecosystem survival.
