Garry Clarke, a UBC professor emeritus in the department of earth, ocean and atmospheric sciences, weighed in on the disappearance of a Yukon river for a Globe and Mail story.
A study had suggested the Slims River is gone due to human-caused climate change. Clarke, who was not involved in the study, agreed with its findings.
