UBC researchers found that 87 per cent of respondents who played outside as children said they continued to love of nature as young adults, various media outlets reported.
Catherine Broom, a professor in the faculty of education at UBC Okanagan’s campus, said developing positive experiences in nature in youth can influence our attitudes and behaviours towards nature as adults.
