Opinion: Business should create more STEM roles for women

Elizabeth Croft, associate dean at UBC’s faculty of applied science and a mechanical engineering professor, co-wrote an op-ed for the Vancouver Sun about the need for women in science, technology, engineering and math positions.

Croft, Nanon de Gaspé Beaubien-Mattrick, founder of Beehive Holdings, and Allison Sekuler, a psychology, neuroscience and behaviour professor at McMaster University, wrote that businesses should take steps to help women feel welcome in these male-dominated fields.
