iPads, smartphones could soon be rolled up and put in your pocket

Various media outlets featured UBC engineering research that has led to the creation of a bendable sensor for use in touch screens.

PhD student Mizra Saquib Sarwar said the technology will allow handheld devices to be bent and even rolled, and senior author and UBC professor John Madden adds that flexible sensors could aid development of robotic skins.
