Business in Vancouver interviewed Alden Habacon, a senior adviser in the field of intercultural understanding at UBC, about a Surrey program that aims to address issues associated with integrating immigrants into the workforce.
Habacon, who will teach the Soft Skills Training for Newcomers course, said some immigrants are unaware that personality and communications skills figure importantly in the Canadian job selection process.
