Professors and politics: What the research says

Inside Higher Education mentioned research by a UBC student that examined possible political bias in the university application process.

Joseph Ma, a UBC undergraduate, Neil Gross of Colby College and Ethan Fosse, a graduate student at Harvard University, sent email inquiries to various doctoral programs and sometimes included political information about themselves.

Responses from the graduate directors did not contain statistically or substantively significant evidence of bias.
