New Scientist quoted William Unruh, a UBC professor of physics and astronomy, for a story about the possibility that a laser-driven tidal wave could prove if information inside a black hole is really lost forever.
Unruh said proposed experiments to answer this question are difficult because it is easy to lose entanglement into the environment.
